The conventional approach to the protection of shotblasting operatives has been through the provision of a shotblasting helmet, which provides respiratory protection.

Supreme Visors are a BSI registered firm specialising in plastic forming and manufacturing and deal with short to medium run industrial and personal protective equipment PPE products including protective air fed helmets.

Make sure the users of the air fed helmets are aware of why personal protective equipment, PPE is needed, when they are to be used, repaired or replaced and its limitations. Instruct, train, and supervise the use of air fed helmets. Because a helmet is the last resort after other methods of protection have been considered, it is important that users wear it all the time they are exposed to the risk. Never allow exemptions for those jobs which take just a few ’minutes’. Check regularly the use of the helmet and investigate fully any reasons for non-use. Safety signs can be useful reminders to wear PPE in general.

Supreme Visors manufacture our own protective visors, our range includes CNC trimmed visor, bevelled edge riot visor, Snap on chinguard visor, Chinguard visor manufactured from 1mm polycarbonate. Many other different styles have been made using 4-6mm polycarbonate.  We have the ability and expertise to manufacture lenses and visors to any existing specification.  Visors are available in a range of tints as well as crystal clear, anti static and tear off formats.
